Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here!
Are you looking for help for yourself or your child?
No matter what’s happening in your life, I want you to know you don’t need to feel alone or go through this without support.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with a variety of issues. Most adults seek out my services because they are suffering from feelings of hopelessness, worry, anger, grief, and much more as they navigate their personal and professional lives. Sometimes the adults who see me are having difficulty managing relationships, or are unsure of their career path. Each reason for seeking counseling is deeply personal.
As hard as it can be to feel stuck as an adult, it’s even harder to watch your child suffer. Children and teenagers face so many challenges while growing up. Sometimes outside help is needed. Often, parents have tried everything they can think of, with little success. If we’re too close to the problem–and to our child–it’s difficult to provide the help they need. This is where counseling under the guidance of a skilled outsider comes in.
Counseling is unlike any other relationship. It provides a unique opportunity to objectively explore your life and discover solutions that were otherwise not apparent. The therapeutic process is a partnership. I work alongside my clients to help them reach their goals and improve their lives.
I’m passionate about empowering children, adolescents, and adults by teaching them coping skills that they can use well into the future. I believe that with the right guidance, no matter the problem, it is possible to arrive at clarity and develop tools to solve problems.
In my work, I use a combination of these methods to facilitate change:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Motivational Interviewing
- Existential Therapy
- Client-centered Therapy
- Mindfulness Techniques
If you’re nervous about starting counseling, I want you to know that that’s common. Many people are anxious about taking this first step. But you won’t be alone in this journey.
